Joseph Jackson (c.1846 – 6 August 1903)

Joseph was born in Ipswich and married Emma c.1867. They had four children: Harry (1868-), Edward James (1870-), Charles (1873-) and Alice Maud (1875-1876).  Their sons were born in Ipswich, where they lived at Cross Yard, but had moved to Pikes Walk by the time Alice was born in 1875.  Joseph worked as a house painter/decorator and they later lived at 1 Trinity Place (1881), 37 Broad Street (1891) and 3 Malcolm Place (1901).  He died at home aged 57 years old and  his funeral took place on 8 August.

Alice Maude Jackson (August 1875  – July 1876)

Alice was the only daughter of Joseph and Emma and died at Pikes Walk aged 11 months old.

Emma Jackson (c.1850 – 16 April 1921)

Emma was born in Westerfield, a village two miles north of Ipswich and married Joseph Jackson when she was c.17 years old. After she was widowed she lived at 1 Downing Arch (1911) and worked as a college bedmaker. Emma died at 10 Fair Street and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 21 April 1921.
