Bevis Pegg (1876 – 12 July 1926)

Bevis was born in Impington and was the son of William Verguson Pegg (1843-1919) and Eliza (née Wilderspin) (1843-1917).  William Pegg was a market gardener and aged 15 Bevis was working for his father as an assistant. He married Martha Jane Smith (1877-1910) in 1896 and they had at least one son: Bertram (1901-1936).  In 1901 the family were living in Histon, and Bevis was working as an agriclutural labourer. He was widowed in 1910 and married Emily Mabel Marfleet (1888-1976) in 1912 and had one daughter with his second wife: Millie (1913-1994). They lived at 52 Cowper Road (1915)  then 24 Norwich Street (at least 1919 onwards) and Bevis died aged 50 years old.
