This simple coped stone lies roughly 4 rows east of the west path towards the north of the parish in an area that was recently cleared

Charles Smyth (21 December 1839 – 11 December 1858)

Charles was the son of Stephen and Maria and was baptised on 12 January 1840 at St. Andrew the Great Church. His father was a coachbuilder and he grew up at Downing Street (1851) and later at Regent Street. He died aged 18 years old ‘after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude’

Stephen George Smyth (1847 – 24 February 1864)

Stephen  was baptised on 3 October at St. Andrew the Great and after the death of his father in 1858 went to live with his mother and sister Ellen in Hingham, Norfolk (1861). He died in Hingham aged 16 years old.
