Dennis Charles Smith (1 June 1908- 16 August 1933)
Dennis was the only son of Alfred Charles Smith (1882-1955) and Dorothy (née Haigh). He was born at Hardwick Farm, Harwick where his father was the farm bailiff. He was still living at Hardwick Farm in 1917, but by 1919 the family had moved to Madingley Hill Farm. Dennis married Winifred May Webb (1909-1996) in 1932 and they lived at 53 Norfolk Street. He died at home aged 25 years old and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 22 August 1933.
Dorothy (Dora) Ethel Smith (née Haigh) (1878 – 27 April 1919)
Dora was the daughter of Thomas and Faithful (known as Faith) (née King) and grew up at 143 Sturton Street (1881) and then 9 Argyle Street (1891). Thomas was a tailor. In 1901 she was working as a housemaid at the Cambridge Training College for Women ( now Hughes Hall). She married farm bailiff Alfred Smith on 20 November 1906 in Caldecote, Cambridgeshire and they lived at Hardwick Farm and then Madingley Hill Farm. Her funeral took place on 1 May 1919 at the Castle Street Methodist Chapel, before interment at Mill Road Cemetery.
