Monument
The monument is located roughly 9 monuments north of the south path and midway between the central and west paths. This area is prone to ivy and bramble growth and may not be easy to find. The cross has now fallen from the large square plinth.

William James Adkins (1872-1943)
William was the son of Thomas and Eliza (née Atherton), brother of Thomas and Charles and grew up at 53 Norwich Street where his father was a butcher and also ran the Eclipse public house. William also became a butcher and married Emily Griggs (1871-1872) in 1902. They had six children: Thomas William, Kathleen Annie (1904-2000), Doris Emily (1905-1981), Ella Mary (1906-1983), Winifred Mary (1908-1993) and Marjorie Beatrice (1910-1967). William ran a butcher’s shop at 64 Hills Road, where the family also lived and died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 70 years old.
Thomas William Adkins (1903-1903)
Thomas died aged 7 months old at 77 Norwich Street. His funeral took place on 24 September at Mill Road Cemetery.
