The kerb stones have sunk and the grass has grown over them. A small section was uncovered to check the inscription which appears to be in good condition.

In Loving Memory of HUBERT WILLIAM ARNOLD died Nov 10 1937 age 19
Hubert William Charter Arnold (1918 – 10 November 1937)
Hubert was born in Linton and is thought to have been the illegitimate child of Rose Ellen Arnold (née Carter) (1881-1976). Rose’s husband James (1881-1917) had been killed in the first world war. Hubert was living at 13 Jordan’s Yard in 1937 and died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 19 years old.
