Louisa Bennett (née Minett) (9 October 1873 – 5 October 1945)
Louisa was born in Ely, and was the daughter of railway guard James Minett and his wife Ellen. She grew up however largely in March and by the age of 17 was was working as a milliner/dressmaker. She married Harry Smith Bennett (1879-1924) in 1900 and they went to live at 4 Marshall Road (1901). Harry worked as a drapers travelling salesman and they had at least six children: William James Smith (1900-1981), Ivy Ethel (1903-1966), Maud (1905-), Archibald Harry (1907-1912), Charles Boyce (1909-2003) and Phyllis Irene (1911-1997). By 1905 the family had moved to 106 Tenison Road, and Harry Bennett died in 1924.
In 1939 Louisa was living with her daughter Phyllis and her family at 38 Gilbert Road. She died aged 71 years old.
