Sarah Bowd (née Robson)  (22 February 1796 – 29 June 1854)

Sarah was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret and was baptised on 10 March 1796.  She married widower Robert Bowd on 1 October 1821 and they had at least seven children: Sarah (1822-), Susannah (1826-), Margaret (1826-1889), Joseph (1831-1889), John (1833-1894), Emma (1836-1925) and Robert (1838-). Robert was a rope maker and the family lived at 45 New Street (1841) and then 40 Sun Street, off Newmarket Road (1851).  Sarah died at Sun Street aged 58 years old and her funeral took place on 2 July 1854.

Robert was born in Royston and baptised there on 8 April 1791.  He was the son of George and Elizabeth Bowd and married Susannah Guiver in Royston on 4 April 1814.  Robert and Susannah had at least two children: Elizabeth (1816-) and George (1817-1879). It is not known when he was widowed but he married for a second time in 1821.  Robert Bowd died at Newmarket Road and his funeral took place on 1 November 1869.
