This sturdy kerb set, located in the parish area of All Saints, is roughly 8 rows east of the west path and 8 plots south of the north path. The stones are all in place but the inscription of metal letters has suffered some damage.

Martha Carter (née Smith) (1869 – 29 July 1927)
Martha was born in Cholsey in Berkshire, and was the daughter of Charles and Ellen Smith. She grew up at ‘The Forty’ in Cholsey, where her father worked as a bootmaker. Aged 21 (1891) she was working as a housemaid to the Manton family in Kingston, Surrey. She married Thomas Carter (1870-1952) at St Matthew’s Church in Bayswater on 19 September 1896. Thomas was a college porter at Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge, and the couple made Cambridge their home. They lived at 18 Belvoir Road (1901) and later at 12 Malcolm Street (1911). Martha and Thomas had one child: Martha Bessie (1898-1927). Martha died in Cambridge aged 59 years old.
Thomas Carter died in Weston-super-Mare aged 82 years old.
Martha Bessie I’Anson (née Carter) (1898 – 10 January 1927)
Martha was the only child of Thomas and Martha Carter. She married Walter I’Anson (1897-1964) in Cambridge in 1922. Walter worked as a college porter like her father. They had three children: Walter John (1922-1985), Frances Joan (1923-) and Derrick R (1925-1929). Martha died aged 28 years old.
Albert Robert Smith ( 1879 – 11 January 1918)
Albert was the youngest son of Charles and Ellen Smith of Cholsey, Berkshire, and the brother of Martha Carter. He too was raised in Cholsey, and by 1901 had joined the Royal Artillery and was living at the Royal Barracks in Woolwich. He married Elizabeth Ellen Ross (1890-) in 1909. In the census of 1911 Albert and Elizabeth were living at 223 Clapham Park Road in Wandsworth, and Albert had left the army and was working as a tram conductor. He died in Cambridge aged 38 years old.
