Mary Ann Eliza Sharman (née Haward) (30 August 1846 – 11 December 1890)

Mary was born in Pimlico and baptised in London on 27 September 1846. She was the eldest daughter of Charles Stephen Haward (1816-1891) and Emily Jacklin (née Hutton) (1817-1900). Charles was a grocer, and by 1851 the family had moved to live in Ipswich where Mary grew up.  She married Stephen Henry Sharman (1845-1938) on 6 July 1871 at St. Matthew’s Church, Ipswich. They moved to Cambridge and lived at City Road (1872-1877), 23 Hills Road (1878-1880) and 3c Station Road (1881 onwards). Stephen worked as a commercial traveller and Mary died at home aged 44 years old.

After he was widowed Stephen Sharman moved to live with the Haward family in Ipswich (1891/1901). He died in Hendon aged 93 years old.
