Inscription

“In loving memory of Caroline Cox (Aunt Carrie) died May 1921 aged 79

Also Catherine Smith died 6 July 1937”

Caroline Cox (c.1842 –  25 May 1921)

It is believed that Carrie was born in the village of Coveney, three miles west of Ely and 1871 she was working as a school mistress in Witcham. Carrie was a spinster living at 11 Mackenzie Road, Cambridge at the time of her death at the age of 79. The executor of her will was Frank Smith, telegraphist which is presumably how Carrie and Catherine were related.

Catherine Anne Smith (1864 – 6 July 1937)

Catherine was a spinster living at 83 Tenison Road, Cambridge at the time of her death at the age of 73.
