This small headstone set within kerbs lies in the southern section of the parish area of Andrew the Less. Roughly 7 rows east of the central path just before reaching the centre circle.

In Loving Memory of JANE the beloved wife of JOHN THOMAS ELSE who died Feb. 17. 1919. aged 66 years
Jane Frances Else (née Langford) (1852 – 17 February 1919)
Jane was born in Cambridge but grew up in Westminster from at least the age of 6. Her parents were Joshua and Jane Langford and her father was a bootmaker. In April 1881 Jane was working as a domestic servant in Newnham Road, Cambridge and married John Thomas Else (1852-1938) later that summer. They had one daughter: Ettie Gertrude (1888-1982) known as Gertie.
John worked at King’s College as a college servant and they lived at 14 Alexandria Street (1891) and 5 Kings Parade (1901). In 1911 Jane and John were living on Cherry Hinton Road with newly married Gertie and her husband Harry Jolly, who was a college cook. The couple went to live at 8 New Square, where Jane died aged 66 years old. She was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 21 February, after a service at St. Andrew the Great Church.
