Charles David (David) Fordham (14 December 1866 – 21 November 1942)
David was raised at 8 Norfolk Terrace by his parents John and Rachel. John Fordham was a railway engine driver and by the age of 14 David was working as a labourer in a coal yard. He married Eliza Woods in 1888 and they had eight children: Ernest Edward (1889-1961), Sydney Josiah (1890-), Harold Reginald (1893-1930), Leonard (1893-1969), William Henry (1895-), Lily May (1897-1979), Grace Florence (1899-) and Percy Cyril (1902-1983). David later worked as a painter and the family lived at 91 Norfolk Street (1891/1901). By 1911 he was working as a plumber for a gas fitting/plumbing company and the family were living at 94 Norfolk Street. David died at home and his funeral took place on 26 November 1942.
Eliza Smith Fordham (née Woods) (14 February 1866 – 19 May 1947)
Little is known of Eliza’s early life. She married when she was 22 years old and died at 2 Roseneath, Histon Road aged 81 years old.
