This set of kerbstones lie about 10 rows west of the centre path close to the northern border (11 plots) of the the parish area of St Paul. It has been covered for many years under a very large bush. The inscription of metal letters is still very clear. This area was cleared by the council in January 2024.

Miriam Foreman (née Challice) (29 August 1866 – 27 March 1926) The age on the kerbstones and in the burial records differs to the age our researcher has recorded. This may be because she was not baptised but registered as Female Challice in 1864.
Miriam was born in Newmarket and was the eldest daughter of Matthew and Sarah Challice. Matthew was a chimney sweep and coal dealer and she grew up on Granby Street (1871) and Queen Street (1881) in Newmarket. She married Stephen William Foreman (1858-1947) on 9 December 1885.
Stephen worked as a carpenter and the couple had seven children: Eva Harriet (1887-1956), Ethel Maria (1889-1984), Reginald Alonzo (1891-1915), Adeline Louise (1894-1972), Olive May (1896-1976), Alice Maud (1898-1989) and Aubrey Philip (1903-1949). The family lived in Wood Ditton (1891), Park Lane in Newmarket (1901) and the Street in Kirtling (1911). By at least 1920 they had moved to live at 4 Marshall Road in Cambridge and then at 1 Hope St where Miriam died aged 59 years old.
In 1927 Stephen was living at 1 Hope Street and he died there in September 1947.
