Naomi Freestone (née Rolph) (2 April 1867 – 16 January 1947)
Naomi was born in Swaffham Bulbeck and grew up on Gutter Lane. She was the daughter of bricklayer James and his wife Sarah (née Mansfield). In 1891 she was living at 10 Maid’s Causeway where she was working as a cook. She married Charles Freestone in 1892 and they went to live at 66 St. Andrew’s Street (1901 to at least 1920). Charles worked as a shop assistant in a glass/china shop, and although they did not have any children of their own, they lived with their nephew Herbert Freestone(1882-) from at least 1901 onwards.
By 1925 Naomi, Charles and Herbert had moved to 58 Tenison Road and she died there in 1947.
Charles Freestone (20 September 1868 – 31 May 1948)
Charles was born in Stapleford and was baptised there on 4 July 1869. He was the son of brewer Charles and his wife Susan (née Rule). By 1881 the family had moved to live at 3 Romsey Terrace and later at Abbey Road (1891). By the age of 23 Charles was working as a shop assistant.
He died the year after Naomi at 58 Tenison Road.
