She married George Goddard in Norwich in the summer of 1891 and they had two children: George Henry (1892-1975) and Alfred Russell (1894-1959). George worked as a railway guard and the family lived at Canns Hall, Waltham Forest (1901) and 43 Hill Road, Forest Gate (1911). By 1915 the family had moved to live at 10 Ross Street and in 1939 George was noted as a retired railway inspector.  Ellen died at 10 Ross Street and her funeral took place on 13 September 1950.
