Agnes Mahalah Harris (née Reynolds) (1851 – 17 May 1918)

Agnes was born in Colchester and baptised at St. James’ Church, Colchester on 29 June 1851. She was the daughter of harness maker William Reynolds and his wife Mariam who was a laundress. Agnes married  bricklayer Charles Harris on 29 August 1870  at St. John the Evangelist Church, Westminster and they had four children: Ellen Ada (1871-), Charles Henry (1873-), Percy John (1874-1941) and William Albert (1879-). The family lived in Colchester (1871), Clapham (1881), Wandsworth (1891) and Streatham (1901). Agnes died at 41 Panton Street and her funeral took place on 20 May 1918.

Charles Harris (1851 – 26 December 1941)

Charles was the son of John and Maria Harris and was baptised in Uxbridge on 24 August 1851. John was a carman (delivery driver) and Maria worked as a ‘forewoman’ for a public baths. He died at the Chesterton Infirmary aged 90 years old.
