Lilly Rose Harris (née Winch-Furness) (10 July 1897 – 3 July 1988)
Lilly was the daughter of Joseph Stanley Winch-Furness (1859-1925) and Fanny Emily (née Boyling) (1855-1911). She was born in Enfield and grew up at 10 St. Stephen’s Road. Her father worked as an agent for a clothing company.
Lilly married Edward (Ted) William Wilson Harris (1896-1961) at St. Andrew’s Church, Enfield on 1 April 1918 and they had four children: Evelyn Rose (1920-1998), Barbara B (1922-), Peter Edward (1927-2007) and Betty Olive (1932-1947). Although both Ted and Lily were both from Edmonton, they settled in Cambridge where all four of their children were born. They lived at 32 Cavendish Road (1939) and 128 Sedgwick Street and Ted worked as buffer cleaner for L.N.E.R. He died aged 65 years old at the Baron Hospital, Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire. Lilly died in Cambridge aged 90 years old.
