This fallen Headstone, located in the parish area of Mary the Great, lies 8 rows east of the centre path and 1 plot to the south of these kerb stones of Henry Harvey Webb shown in the picture. This whole area is usually left to grow wild and was mapped by us after significant clearance in 2015.
Inscription – as we did not find the headstone we have not been able to check the inscription taken in 2000 by CFHS

Charles Henry Webb (1840 – 24 December 1917)
Charles was born in Barton and was the son of agricultural labourer David and Charlotte (née Harradine). Aged 20 Charles was living on Northampton Street with the Gentle family and working as an undertaker. He married Catherine Harvey on Christmas Day 1876 at Great St. Mary’s Church and they had two son: Charles William (1878-1968) and Henry Harvey (1880-1925). He was landlord of the Barron of Beef pub on Bridge Street (1881) before moving to live at Guildhall Place (at least 1891 onwards) and working as a labourer (1891/1901). He and Catherine lived with various of Catherine’s sisters and by 1911 he was documented as a being a hotel porter. Charles died at Guildhall Place aged 77 years old.
Catherine Harriett Webb (née Harvey)(1846 – 16 November 1924)
Catherine was the daughter of William and Susannah and grew up at Paradise Row, City Road. William Webb (1792-1859) was originally from Leicestershire but had moved his family to Cambridge by at least 1838 to work as a warehouseman and later as a printer. Catherine married Charles Webb and worked as a college bedmaker. By 1911 she was documented as a retired college bedmaker and died aged 78 years old.
Hannah Harvey (1838 – 20 February 1915)
Hannah was Catherine’s sister and in 1881 was living at Guildhall Place and working as a college bedmaker. In 1891 she was living at Guildhall Place with Charles and Catherine and was recorded as being a retired college bedmaker. She died at 94 King Street in 1915 (believed to be an Almshouse).
Selina Harvey (1847 – 6 October 1916)
Selina was Catherine’s younger sister and aged 13 was working as a servant in Sutton-in-Ashfield. She then moved back to Cambridge to work as a servant at a boarding school on Bridge Street (1871) and as a launderess in Coton (1881). She lived with Charles and Catherine at Guildhall Place (1901) and died at King Street Almshouses, where it is believed she had been living with sister Hannah.
