John Charles Ivett (c.1867 – 10 December 1935)
John was the son of James and Lydia Ivett – he appears to have been known as Charles through his life. He was born and grew up in Fen Drayton, where his father worked as an agricultural labourer. He followed his father and was also working as an agricultural labourer by the age of 14 in 1881. He married Fanny Kate Kathleen Card in St Ives in 1888.
Charles and Fanny had five children; Charles Ernest [1890-1969], Mildred Mabel [1893-1956], Eva Florence [1894-1971] and two more who died as infants. The family lived at Rose Villa, Romsey Road and John worked as a carpenter and joiner. He died in December 1935 aged 68 years old.
Fanny Kate Kathleen Ivett [nee Card] (c.1869 – 11 May 1936)
Fanny was the daughter of William and Mary Card. William worked as a groom, and she grew up at Squire Lane, Somersham. She married Charles Ivett when she was 20 years old. She died less than 6 months after her husband, at Addenbrookes Hospital in May 1936.
Mildred Mabel Kharbanda [nee Ivett] (3 April 1893 – 25 July 1956)
Mildred was the daughter of John and Charles Ivett. She grew up at Rose Villa, Romsey Road, and by the age of 17 [1911] was working as a milliner. She married Sant Ram Kharbanda [1892-] in 1917 in Croydon. Sant Ram was an engineer who had been born in Lahore, in modern day Pakistan.
Sant and Mildred had at least two children: Santrat Raj Ran [1917-2000] and Reginald O [1922-]. In 1939 she was living at 23 Windsor Road. She died at Addenbrookes Hospital in July 1956 aged 63 years old.
