In Loving Memory of Jane Mounsey Knowles
died Feb 7th 1934 aged 58 years

Jane Mounsey Knowles (née Pitcher) (1875 – 7 February 1934)
Jane was born in Norwich and was the daughter of William and Sarah Pitcher. Her father was a carpenter and joiner, and she grew up on Denmark Road in the city (1891). By the age of 25 she was working as a confectioner’s assistant and married Albert David Knowles (1878-1949) in 1904. In 1911 they were living in Norwich and Albert was working as an ironmonger’s assistant. The couple had at least one child who died as an infant. By 1930 they had moved to 164 Mill Road, where they ran a tabacconist. Jane died aged 58 years old.
Albert continued to run the business at 164 Mill Road and died there on 21 September 1849 aged 71 years old.
