In Loving Memory of CLARA OLIVER d June 18 1917 age 62
Clara Oliver (née Moles) (1855 – 18 June 1917)
Clara was born in Outwell, five miles south-east of Wisbech and baptised there on 12 September 1858. Her parents were Jeremia and Ann (née Smith) and her father farmed 40 acres in the village.
Clara married butcher Matthew Oliver (1849-) in 1875 and they had three children: Arthur Seayers (1876-1956), Ellen (1885-1957) and a son named Violet (1889-). She ran a grocery store at 14 Agenoria Street in Wisbech (at least 1891-1911) and appears to have done this on her own, as Matthew was living elsewhere and working as a journeyman butcher on the census returns. Clara died at Mill Road aged 62 years old and was buried on 20 June.
