Ann Elizabeth (Elizabeth) Palmer (née Ling) (1858 – 25 October 1932)
Elizabeth was born in Haslingfield and was the daughter of John and Caroline. Her father was an agricultural labourer, who later worked as a coprolite digger. She married Arthur Palmer on 25 December 1884 at St. Matthew’s Church and had one son: Herbert (1885-1944). Arthur worked as a house painter and the family lived at 51 Bradmore Street. Elizabeth died at home in 1932.
Arthur Charles Palmer (1859 – 6 May 1933)
Arthur was the son of Henry and Louisa (née Warland) and grew up at 43 & 44 Bradmore Street. Henry worked as a brazier/coppersmith and by the age of 21 Arthur was working as a plumber and painter although he later worked exclusively as a house painter. He died at Southend-on-Sea aged 74 years old.
Arthur and Elizabeth’s son continued to live at Bradmore Street with his wife Bertha.
