Frederick Peck (8 June 1892 – 20 May 1944)

Little is known of Frederick’s early life. He married Emily Smith in Cambridge in 1913 and they lived at 16 Willow Walk.  In 1939 the couple were living with Emily’s disabled mother Harriett and Frederick was working as a steel scaffolder as well as working with the ‘demolition party’ as part of the war effort. He died at home and his funeral took place on 24 May.

Emily Peck (née Smith) (7 February 1880 – 18 March 1966)

Emily was the daughter of stonemason Thomas (1852-) and Harriett (1854-1941). She grew up at 1 Adam’s Yard (1881) and 54 Park Street (1891). She worked as a domestic servant but by 1911 had returned to live with her father at Willow Walk. Emily died at Linton Hospital  aged 86 years.
