Hannah Pledger (née Peachey) (1875 – 26 October 1930)
Hannah was born in Fulbourn and was the daughter of agricultural labourer Frederick and his wife Mary. Aged 16 she was living at 84 Hills Road and working as a general servant to widow Elizabeth Franklin. By April 1901 she was living on the High Street in Cottenham and working as a cook to John Goode before marrying Tom Pledger later the same year. Tom worked as a bricklayer and they had two sons: Harry Thomas (1905-1971) and Arthur Stanley (1909-1983). The family lived at Thoday Street and Hannah died aged 55 years old.
Thomas (Tom) Pledger (1879 – 13 March 1962)
Tom was born in Stoke, Suffolk and was the son of agricultural labourer Samuel and his wife Fanny. By 1901 he was lodging at Argyle Street, Cambridge and working as a bricklayer’s labourer. After he was widowed he continued to live at 34 Thoday Street, and died at The Red House Nursing Home in Linton.
He may bee a relation of John Deer Pledger ED92
