This headstone has broken and part of it lies within the grave set of his parent’s grave. The carved inscription is still legible although a tree has grown round it. It may have originally stood 1 row to the east. about 6 rows west of the central path.

Died Nov. 18th 1935 aged 38 years
Bertie Charles Poulter (1897 – 18 November 1935)
Bertie was the son of Ernest and Bertha Poulter. His mother died as a result of childbirth and he grew up with his father, paternal grandmother and aunts at 15 Park Street. Bertie moved with his father and Aunt Lily to live in Bedford c.1926 and he worked as a gent’s outfitter. In 1935 he was living at 18 All Saint’s Road in Bedford, but died at the Bedford County Hospital aged 38 years old.
