Frederick Henry Prior (10 July 1870 – 11 August 1952)

Frederick was born at 1 Jesus Terrace, the eldest son of Henry and Emma Prior. Henry Prior was a  baker and aged 20 Frederick was assisting his father and the family business was renamed Prior and son.  He married Charlotte Negus on 12 April 1898 and they had two daughters: Edna Jane (1904-1905) and Elsie Amelia (1906-1999). They lived at Grasmere House, 56 Abbey Road (1901), 5 Beche Road (at least 1908 – 1911), 1 Jesus Terrace (at least 1920 -1931) and 14 New Square (at least 1935 onwards). In 1939 Frederick and Charlotte were running  a Lodging House from New Square and he died there aged 82 years old.

Edna Jane Prior (1904 – 19 March 1905)

Edna died at Abbey Road aged 8 months old and her funeral took place on 23 March.

Charlotte Jane Prior  (née Negus) (26 July 1873 – 24 March 1959)

Charlotte was the daughter of Ellis and Jane (née Wright) Negus and was born in Melbourn, ten miles south of Cambridge. Her father was an agricultural labourer and she grew up at Drury Lane, Melbourn, Madingley Road (1891) and 1 Stockwell Street (1895). She continued to live at 14 New Square after she was widowed and died aged 85 years old.
