As the headstone is now under a large bush it was only possible to uncover the lower part.

Thomas Saunders (1808 – 22 December 1871)
Thomas was born in Buntingford and married Francis on 14 December 1834 in Chesterton. They had at least three children: John Salisbury (1840-1912), Susan Rebecca (1846-1929) and Thomas Edward (1849-1876). In 1861 the family were living at 28 Thompson’s Lane and Thomas was working as an auctioneer’s porter. After he was widowed he went to live with his daughter Susan at 29 Park Street (1871).
Francis Elizabeth Saunders (née Salisbury) (1803 – 16 April 1866)
Frances was the daughter of Robert and Ann and was baptised in Chesterton on 25 December 1803. She died at Thompson’s Lane aged 62 years old.
Thomas Edward Saunders (1849 – 29 March 1876)
Thomas was baptised on 31 March 1850 at St. Clement’s Church and died at 105 Graham Road in Dalston aged 27 years old.
