“At Rest”

William Waters (1862 – 28 July 1918)

William was born in the village of Waresley, which lies eleven miles south of Huntingdon and five miles south east of St. Neots. He was the youngest child of George and Mary and his father worked as a farm labourer/game keeper in Waresley. William also worked as a gamekeeper and in 1881 was working at The Hall, Hargham, Norfolk. In 1901 he was documented as visiting his sister Hannah and her husband in Kent. He then returned to Waresley, where he lived with his parents (1911).  It is not known when or why William moved to live in Cambridge, but was living at 26 Hooper Street when he died.
