Lester Jack Williams (1903 – 18 March 1931)
Lester was the second son of Fred and Harriet Williams and died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital aged 28 years old.
Harriet Elizabeth Williams (née Pannell) (11 January 1866 – 14 January 1942)
Born in Haverhill, Harriet was the daughter of Abraham and Sirviner Pannell. Abraham was a silk weaver and Sirviner worked as a jacket finisher. Harriet was a machinist before marrying stonemason Fred Williams in 1887. The couple had nine children: Lilly Maude (1888-1961), Charles Frederick (1893-1977), Kathleen May (1894-1973), Dora Susannah (1897-1948), Kitty Sirviner (1899-1968), Lester Jack, Frank (1905-1906), Alfred (1907-1993) and a child who died as an infant. The family lived at 6 Doric Street (1901) and then 256 Mill Road (at least 1911 onwards). Harriet died at home three days after her 76th birthday.
Fredrick (Fred) Williams (12 January 1864 – 15 February 1942)
Fred was the son of Edward and Emma and was born in Withersfield, a village to the north of Haverhill, Suffolk. Edward Williams was an agricultural labour and Emma worked as a tailoress. Fred died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital four weeks after the death of his wife.
