Photo taken at a family wedding 7 August 1930

Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter Samuel and Elizabeth Stevenson.  She was born in Burleigh Street, Cambridge. On 11th August 1880 she married Alfred William Wisbey, a draper, at the Primitive Methodist Church, Panton Street, Cambridge. By 1891 the couple were living in Mill Road, Cambridge with two children, Albert (b 1883) Louisa (b 1889), a cook and a general servant. They had a third child,  Doris born 1886 in Mill Road. However the marriage was not a happy one and they eventually separated. By 1911 Elizabeth was living with her two daughters and supporting herself as a milliner and draper. Alfred died in 1939 and was cremated. When Elizabeth died she was living at 110 Coleridge Road, Cambridge. She had suffered a stroke in the mid 1930s from which she never really recovered.
