The headstone stands against the west wall in the north of the parish of St Andrew the Less.

Sarah Emma Cawthorn (née Livermore) (c 1855 – 1898)
Sarah was most likely to have been the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Livermore of Newmarket Road. Thomas was a labourer. Sarah Livermore married William Cawthorn at Cambridge Register Office on October 19th 1874 when her age was given as 20.
Sarah was living at 8 James Street, Cambridge, when she died aged 43.
William Henry Cawthorn (1844 – 1904)
William was the second child of William and Sarah Cawthorn. His father was a brewer. He was brought up in James Street and Gold Street. Unlike his younger brother James he did not join the family firm but became a tailor. However when he married at the age of 30 his profession was given as brewer and by 1881 he was running The Geldart public house in Ainsworth Street and in the 1901 census he is listed as a brewer and once again living in James Street.
William died at 8 James Street, Cambridge.
