James Johnson (1813 – 24 April 1857)

John was born in Cambridge and married Elizabeth Ayres (1815-) in 1847. They lived at 21 South Street and had at least three children: John (1848-), Joseph (1850-) and Emma (1852-1866). John worked as a journeyman brewer and died at home aged 43 years old. His funeral was held on 29 April.

Emma Johnson (1852 – 21 April 1866)

In 1861 Emma was living with her widowed mother, aunt Susan and brothers at South Street where  Elizabeth Johnson worked as a laundress.  Emma died at South Street aged 13 and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 23 April.

Susan Ayres (1804 – 1 August 1889)

Susan was the daughter of John and Susannah (née Webb)  Ayres, sister of Elizabeth Johnson. She was born in Bottisham and did not marry. She lived with her sister from at least 1851 to  1881, and worked as a domestic servant at some point. She died at the Chesterton Union Workhouse/infirmary and her funeral was held on 5 August.
