They had four children: Maud Alice (1873-1963), Herbert Joshua (1878-1942), Frances Mary (1860-1965) and Alfred Edward (1886-1968).
The family lived at the Shoeing Forge at 13 Downing Street (1881), before moving to 48 Adam and Eve Street (1891) and later to 8a Elm Street. Joshua died at 8a Elm Street aged 51 years old.
