Elizabeth Baker (nee Kent) (1816 – 23 November 1882)
Elizabeth was born in Cambridge and was baptised on 20 October 1816. She was the daughter of Frederick Kent (1789-1847) and Ann (nee Ashwood) (1791-1825). She grew up at Willow Walk and trained to be a milliner, before marrying grocer William Baker on 26 August 1839 at St. Andrew the Less Church. The couple had at least seven children: Charles John (1840-1924), Harriet Eliza (1842-), Louisa Kent (1845-1932), Arthur William (1847-1936), Martha Ann (1849-1921), Clara Taylor (1851-1939) and Amelia Jane (known as Minnie) (1859-1945). William had a grocer’s shop at 98 Fitzroy Street, which was later run by their eldest son Charles. By 1881 William and Elizabeth were living at 100-101 Fitzroy Street, where he was described as a retired grocer and she as a milliner. She died at home aged 66 years old and her funeral was held on 27 November.

William was born in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire and baptised there on 11 October 1812. He was the son of Thomas and Mary, and moved to Cambridge where he worked as a grocer. He died at home and was buried with his wife on 1 October.
Ernest Charles Baker ( 1865 – 14 March 1867)
