Harriet Ward (nee Dockerill)  (c.1857 – 23 June 1885)

Harriet was born in Warboys which is seven miles north east of Huntingdon.  Her parents were Joseph and Mary Dockerill, and by the age of 14 she was living in Cambridge at Mann Farm Cottage, where her father was a farm bailiff.  In April 1881 she was working as a domestic servant to the Reverend Robert Rashdall, at the Rectory in Teversham.  She married Albert Ward later that same year.

Albert and Harriet had two children: Annie Elizabeth (1883-1915) and Ernest Albert (1885).  She died three months after her infant son at Kingston Street.  She was 28 years old.

Ernest Albert Ward (1885 – 3 March 1885)

Ernest was the only son of Albert and Harriet Ward. He died as an infant.

Annie Elizabeth Baumann (nee Ward) (1883 – 18 January 1915)

Annie’s mother died when she was 2 years old. She was raised by her father and step mother Fanny at 64 Burleigh Street, where Albert Ward worked as a tailor.  She married Charles Joseph Baumann (1878-1947) around 1900.  Annie and Charles had at least five children: Edward Albert (1902-1989), Alice Maud Alice (later Madeleine) (1904-1996), Charles (1907-1994), Gladys May (1908-19610 and Reginald N (1911-1924).  In the census of 1911 she was living at 51 Bradmore Street with her five children and father-in-law Charles. Her husband Charles Joseph was working as a tailor for her father at 42 King Street and was resident there.  She died in 1915 at the age of 31 years old.
