Rev. Alfred Robert Bennett (1837 – 15 April 1878)

Alfred was the only son of Thomas and Sarah (née Huckle) Bennett. He grew up at 10 Melbourn Place, and his father was a college servant. He married Annie Peck on 23 August 1866 at Christ Church, Cambridge and it is not thought the couple had any children. His sister Mary married Annie’s brother John Peck. From at least 1874 onwards Alfred was the vicar of Rendlesham in Suffolk. He died at the Vicarage aged 41 years and is also commemorated in St Michael’s Church in Rendlesham.

Annie Bennett (née Peck) (17 March 1837 – 25 May 1899)

Annie was the daughter of Edward and Ann Peck and was baptised on 23 April 1837.  She grew up at 8 Malcolm Street and both of her parent were college servants.  She married Alfred Bennett when she was 29 years old and after being widowed returned to live in Cambridge.  She died at 10 Melbourne Place.
