Maria Eliza Boundy (née Brown)  (1864 – 4 November 1922)

Maria was born in Kingston upon Thames, the daughter of Charles and Maria Brown. Her father was a hawker, and by 1871 the family were living at 200 Newmarket Road, Cambridge.  In 1881 Maria was living at home and working as a laundress. She married George Boundy on 28 March 1891 at St. Barnabas’ Church, Sutton, Surrey and  the couple had five children: George (1893-1968), Dorothy Mary (1894-1971), Mabel Mary (1900-1971), William Charles (1901-1989) and one further child who died as an infant. They lived in Epsom until at least 1900, where George was a railway plate layer.  In 1901 they were living at 4 Auckland Cottages, and he was a milk carrier/delivery driver. In 1911 they had moved to 23 Brandon Place, City Road and later moved to 19 Coronation Street.  Maria died at home aged 58 years old.

George Boundy (28 October 1867 – 16 May  1928)

George was born in Cheam, Surrey and baptised at St. Dunstan’s Church, Cheam on 24 November 1867.  He was the son of agricultural labourer Robert Boundy and Elizabeth (née Titchener) and aged 13 was working as a labourer. In 1891 he was working as a platelayer  at Epsom Station, earning 3s, 2d per day. George died at Coronation Street and his funeral took place on 19 May.

Albert Victor Worboys (11 August 1891 – 17 October 1966)

Albert was born in Trumpington, the son of George Samuel Warboys and Eliza.  His father was a carpenter/joiner and he grew up at 27 Bermuda Row (1901) and 45 Belvoir Road (1911).  By the age of 20 he was working as a college servant and married Dorothy Boundy in 1923.  The couple lived at 9 Paradise Street (1939) and Albert died at home aged  75 years old. He was cremated on 20 October 1966.

Dorothy Worboys died at 6a Montague Road in June 1871.

(NB It is unclear why Albert’s year of birth was recorded as 1892 on his grave monument).
