Monument
This headstone stands in line with the Norfolk St Gate and a few rows from the east wall in the far north of the parish of Andrew the Less. Although the carved decoration at the top is still in place most of the carved inscription is now lost as the facing stone has fallen off.

Joseph Bright (1827 – 3 December 1891)
Joseph was born in Godmanchester near Huntingdon and married Eliza Whybrow in Cambridge on 1 October 1848. He worked as a leather cutter and he and Eliza had at least five children: Charles (1849-1850), John (1851-1935), Charles Whybrow (1854-1917), Emily Eliza (1856-1936) and Alfred Joseph (1864-1931). The family lived at 54 Burleigh Street, where Joseph died.
Eliza Bright (née Whybrow) (1828 – 18 September 1903)
Eliza was the daughter of Thomas and married Joseph in 1848. After she was widowed she went to live at 153 Victoria Road with daughter Emily (1901). Her probate records show she died at Victoria Road on 18 September 1903 aged 75 years old, which is at odds with the age and date shown on the grave monument.
