Monument
These kerbstones, located in the south east corner of the parish area of Holy Trinity, lie a few meters south of the south path as it bends to become the east path and 9 rows from the east wall. This area is usually left to grow wild and the monument not visible. It was uncovered as part of routine clearance in December 2023.
The north kerb has fallen along with the corner posts on that side but the inscription of metal letters is still clear. A tree now grows within the grave set.

Sidney John Carter (4 November 1885 – 6 February 1937)
Sidney was the son of George Albert Carter and Eliza (née Whitehead). He was baptised at Holy Trinity church on October 30th 1887, when he was 2 years old, and grew up at 15 Willow Place. George (1848-1895) was a house painter and Eliza worked at Trinity College as a bedmaker. Sidney also worked as a painter and married Rose Ann Moore (1888-1960) in 1907.
