Monument
This headstone in the parish of St Edward stands in open ground roughly 18 rows west of the central path and 10 rows east of the west path. Although it leans slightly it is stable. the carved inscription in mostly legible.

In Memory of ROBERT PAGE CLAYTON died March 14. 1873. Aged 27 years.

Robert Page Clayton (1845 – 14 March 1873)
Robert was the son of Robert and Jane and was baptised on 25 January 1852. He grew up at 11 Peas Hill where his father was a fishmonger and maried Martha Cambridge on 14 January 1869 in Wimpole. He took over the family business and in 1871 was described as a fishmonger and game dealer. Robert and Martha had at least three sons: Robert Page (1869-1871), Charles Cambridge (1871-1946) and Herbert Page (1872-1941). He died ‘suddenly’ at home aged 27 years old. He held the fishing rights on the River Cam, and the remainer of the seven year lease were sold after his death
Martha Clayton (née Cambridge) (1840 – 31 May 1887)
Martha was born in Wimpole and baptised there on 27 December 1840. She was the second daughter of Owen and Sarah (née Binks) and grew up in Wimpole where her father was a farm bailiff of 400 acres, employing 30 men (1851). After hse was widowed she continued to run the business at Peas Hill and died at home aged 46 years old.
Herbert Page Clayton (25 March 1872 – 17 February 1941)
Herbert was the youngest son of Robert Page and Martha Clayton. In 1891 he was lodging at 15 City Road with dressmaker Ann Metcalf and was working as an apprentice tailor. He was a member of the 3rd Suffolk Volunteers regiment and as a result was conscripted to the 14th Reserve Batallion, London Regiement in the 1st World War aged 46 years old. He was wounded with by a bullet in his back in December 1915. He served as an acting sergeant and was discharged in June 1919. In 1939 he was living at 59 Buckingham Gate, and working as a cook. He died at The Grove Nursing Home, Hills Road aged 68 years old.

Mary Clayton (August 1839 – 24 September 1855)
Mary was the second daughter on Robert & Jane Page. She died aged 16 at 11 Peas Hill, Cambridge.
Jane Clayton (née Browett) (1806 – 1863)
Jane was the daughter of William and Ann and was born in Leicestershire. She was baptised on 29 September 1806 in Great Easton and married Robert Page Clayton at St Edwards church on August 18th 1836. Robert was a fishmonger, who ran a business at 11 Peas Hill. The couple had at least five children: Jane Sarah (1838-), Mary, Emma Ann (1841-), Elizabeth (1842-) and Robert Page. In 1861 she was a patient at the Fulbourn Asylum and died aged c.57 years.
Robert Page Clayton (1810 – 17 May 1867)
Robert was the eldest son of Robert and Sarah (née Page) Clayton and was baptised on 4 November 1810. Robert Page became a fishmonger like his father and served as a ward assessor for Market ward. He died at Peas Hill aged 56 years old.
