Mary was the daughter of William (1799-1867) and Mary (1806-) Mynott. Her father was a shoemaker and she grew up at Fitzroy Street (1851/1861). After her parents’ deaths, she lived with her sister Anne at 115 Fitzroy Street and the sisters had a shoe manufacturing business called ‘A. and M.A. Mynott’.  Their partnership was dissolved in 1875 and Ann Mynott continued the business alone.  Mary married carpenter Elijah Coe on 13 November 1873 and they lived at 69 Eden Street. Mary died at home and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 10 February.

Elijah was born in Cherry Hinton and baptised there on 27 August 1843.  He was the son of gardener Charles Coe and his wife Ann and grew up on Cherry Hinton high Street.  Aged 17, Elijah was also working as a gardener, but later trained as a carpenter. He was 30 years old when he married Mary Ann and died at Eden Street aged 82 years.
