This headstone stands 16 rows from the west wall and roughly 8 plots south of the north path in the parish of All Saints. The carved inscription is very eroded and not much of the inscription is now legible. We used the parish burial records to complete the post.

William Coe (1808 – 16 September 1901)
William was born in Royston and was the son of Aaron and Hannah (née Smith). He was baptised on 5 May 1808 in Royston. He married Maria Deaves (1803-1845) on 30 October 1828 in Woolpit, Suffolk. The couple had at least three children: Sarah (1829-), William Clayton (1837-1872) and Ann Maria (1838). William worked as a college servant, and the family lived on Park Street (1841). Maria Coe died in November 1845 and was buried at All Saint’s Churchyard on 22 November 1845.
He married for a second time to Mary Moule on 14 January 1847 at All Saint’s Church. They had at least eleven children: Edward Capel (1847-1924), Harriet (1849-1851), Mary Elizabeth (1851-1941), Clara Jane (1853-1924), Alfred Ernest (1855-), Alice Maud (1857-1932), Ellen (1860-1880), Albert (1862-1933), Herbert (1864-1939), Percy Augustus (1866-1903) and Mabel (1868-). The family lived at 51 Rhadegund Buildings, Jesus Lane and William continued to work as a college servant. He was widowed in 1894 and in 1901 was living with his children Mary, Clara and Percy, two grandchildren and servant Kate Miller. He died at home aged 93 years old.
Mary Coe (née Moule) (c.1828 – 1894)
Mary is believed to have been the daughter of maltster John Moule and his wife Elizabeth. She married widower William Coe when she was c.20 years old and died aged 66 years old.
William Clayton Coe (c.1836 – 20 July 1872)
William was the son of William and Maria (née Deaves) Coe. He was baptised on 21 August 1836 at All Saint’s Church and married Susan Mason at the same church on 10 January 1861. Susan was the daughter of James and Sarah Mason, and the couple had at least three children: William Alfred (1862-1884), Lucy (1864-1959) and Arthur Edward (1865-1923). William worked as a merchant’s clerk and the family lived at 2 Melbourne Place (1861) and then at 2 Fitzwilliam Street (1871). William died at Fitzwilliam Street aged 36 years old.
Harriet Coe (1849 – January 1851)
Harriet was the daughter of William and Mary (née Moule) and was baptised on 4 November 1849 at All Saint’s Church. She died aged c.14 months old and was buried on 23 January 1851.
Ellen Coe (c.1859 – October 1880)
Ellen was the daughter of William and Mary and was baptised on 15 April 1860 at All Saint’s Church. She lived at 51 Rhadegund Buildings and died aged 21 years old.
Percy Augustus Coe (1866 – 21 February 1903)
Percy was the son of William and Mary Coe. He did not marry and lived at home. Aged 24 he was working as a clerk and by 1901 was documented as as being a musician/organist. In April 1890 he played the piano at a Primrose League meeting at Swavesey. Newspapers reported that he ‘played the piano accompaniments in the most efficient and satisfactory manner’. Percy died at Rhadegund Buildings aged 36 years old.
