Ann (Annie) Cowman (née Peck) (14 November 1848 – 24 October 1912)
Annie was the eldest daughter of Joseph and Ann (née Bridges) Peck. Her father was a builder who was employing 40 men in 1851 and she grew up at 18 Hills Road (1851), 1 Coronation Street (1861) and 6 Union Road (1871). She married Henry Seggers Cowman (1845-1921) on 17 April 1872 at St. Paul’s Church, Hills Road and the couple did not have any children. Henry worked as a woodcarver when they married and they lived at 86 Norwich Street (1881). He later worked as a college servant (1891) and later as an assistant at the Fitzwilliam Museum. In 1911 Henry was documented s being the curator of the classical archaeology department at the museum. They lived at 1 Fitzwilliam Street (1891) before moving to 28 Little St. Mary’s Lane. Annie died at home aged 63 years old.
Henry Cowman died at 28 Little St. Mary’s Lane on 18 February 1921.
