This headstone located in the parish of St Andrew the Less is roughly 6 rows east of the central path and and 1 monument north of the north path. It is hidden in bushes. The carved inscription is now quite difficult to read.

Mary Anne Crane (née Fortin) (1829 – 18 January 1886)
Mary was born in Hinxton, a village nine miles south of Cambridge and five miles north west of Saffron Walden and was baptised there on 28 June 1829. She was the daughter of gardener William Fortin (1788-1871) and Mary (née Chapman) (1798-1876) and married James Osborne Crane (1832-1873) on Christmas Day 1854 in Hinxton. James was a master carpenter and they had at least two daughters: Matilda (1860-) and Ada Mary (1863-1885). The family lived at 40 City Road, Cambridge (at least 1861- 1871). In 1871 James Crane was employing six people in his carpentry/building business. He died at City Road on 31 October 1873 after ‘a lingering illness borne with Christian resignation’ and was buried in his home town of Newport, Essex. In 1881 Mary was living in Newport with her two daughters and sister Emma Fortin. They susequently returned to Cambridge and lived at Mill Road. Mary died at home and was buried at Mill Road Cemetery on 22 January.
Ada Mary Crane (1863 – 19 November 1885)
Ada was born in Cambridge, and died at Mill Road aged 22 years old. Her funeral took place on 25 November 1885.
