William Dockerill ( 1851 – 28 September 1916)
William was born in Warboys, near Huntingdon and married Emily Atkin in 1877. He worked as a labourer at the gas works.
Emily and William had five children: William Harry Atkin [1878-1961], Maud Mary Chapman [1879-1883], Eva Emily Atkin [1885-1939], George Joseph T [1886-1888] and Lillian May [1887-1972].
The family lived at 17 Abbey Street [1891], and then at the Gas House at the gas works on Newmarket Road [1901/1911]. In 1913 he was listed as the resident foreman at the Gas works. He died there in 1916 aged 65 years old.
Emily Dockerill died in 1937 aged 86. She died at 89 Coldham’s Lane on Newmarket Road.
Maud Mary Chapman Dockerill (1879 – 7 December 1883)
Maud was the second child of William and Emily Dockerill. She died aged 4 years old.
George Joseph T Dockerill (1886 – 9 December 1888)
George died aged 2 years old.
