This small headstone and kerbstones was only recorded in October 2024. It lies under a tree that has partially fallen and is hidden under ivy and bramble. Located in the south east corner of the parish of Holy Trinity roughly 0 metres along the south path and 9 plots to the north, it is inaccessible most of the time. The inscriptions of metal letters were mostly intact although were were unable to see all of them.

Eliza Wing (1839 – I May 1938)
Eliza was born in Toft the daughter of Henry & Elizabeth Collett.
She married wine porter Joseph Wing at St Paul’s church Cambridge on January 8th 1861.
They lived at 47 Bradmore St. Where in the 1871 she was working as a dressmaker.
They had at least 7 children Elizabeth Annie (1861 – 1863), Florence (1863), Arthur Joseph (1865), Sarah Ann (1868), Kate Mabel (1874 ), Henry W (1876) and Harriet Eliza (1878)
They then moved to 5 New Court off King St.
In 1880 Joseph, aged 41, died in an accident at the brewery where he worked. He was cleaning out the ‘square’ sic when he was overcome by fumes and suffocated. He was buried in this parish but we did not find an inscription for him here. Eliza then supported her young family working for a college while Florence stayed at home to look after her younger siblings. In 1911 Eliza was living with her daughters Sarah Ann and Kate at 29 Malcolm Place where she ran a lodging house.
These large houses owned by the university had 10 rooms and the lodgings were usually for university students.
By 1926 Eliza had moved to 9 Mackenzie Road where she continued to live with Sarah & Florence until their deaths
Sarah Ann Wing (1868 -1933)
Sarah was the 4th child of Joseph & Eliza Wing. She appears to have helped at home all her life.and died at 9 Mackenzie Road..
Florence Annie Wing (21 July 1863 – 1938)
Floraence was the 2nd child of Joseph & Eliza. Aged 17 she was living at home and caring for her younger siblings while her mother went out to work. In 1891 she was visiting her brother Arthur and his family in Woolwich. In 1901 she was living at 79 Gwydir St with Emma Redfarn and was listed as a laundress. 10 years later she was working as housekeeper for Emma Redfern who ran a lodging house at 10 Malcolm Place. She remained in this employment until at least 1921. She and Emma later moved to live with her mother and sister at 9 Mackenzie Road. She moved into the Devonshire Nursing Home shortly before her death.
