Monument
This fallen headstone located 40 metres from the north gate and 2 metres from the west wall was only discovered after heavy rain. It is thought this may be a family grave with 3 names possibly on the east face and Fanny’s on the west face. The carved inscription is badly eroded. The burial record was used to complete the inscription.

Fanny Elizabeth Scriven (1846 – 1901)
Fanny was the daughter of George and Mary Scriven. She was born in Woodford, Northamptonshire in 1846. Her father was a tailor and she remained at home until at least 1971 after which she went into service. In 1881 she was a ladies maid to Isabella Davidson in Hastings . 1891 found her in Barrowden, Rutland working as a housekeeper and by 1901 she was in Brounston, Northamptonshire working as a sick nurse. Maybe she caught something from her patient as she died 2 months after the 1901 census.
Fanny died 2nd June and was buried the 6th.
It is only presumed that her parents and brother George are buried in this grave but we know they were all buried in this parish.
George and Mary lived at 58 York St. Mary died in October 1890 aged 77 and George died in December 1893 aged 74. Her brother George Henry had died in 1885 aged 28.
Her uncle Frederick and his family are buried PL77
