This small headstone is hidden under bushes a few metres west of the central path in the parish of Andrew the Less. A very large tree stands to the north and east of the path there is a track that leads to the Gwydir Street gate. The inscription of inset metal letters is still visible but the whole is usually covered in leaves. The kerbstones are still there but were not uncovered.

Alfred George Gilbert (7 May 1866 – 2 October 1947)
Alfred was born in Cambridge and grew up at 125 East Road. He was the son of Alfred and Sarah Ann Gilbert and his father worked as an agricultural labourer. He married Esther Eliza Brady at St Andrew the Less on 1st July 1890 when he was 24 years old.
They had four children together: Ethel Louisa (1891-1990), Lily (1893-1959), Ivy Victoria (1901-1901) and Alfred Charles (1901-1962). In 1891 the family were living on York Street, and Alfred was working as a porter and bacon roller. In 1901 they were at 78 Kingston Street and he was a grocer’s assistant. By 1911 the family were still living at 78 Kingston Street, but by that time Alfred had become a ‘grocer and provisions dealer’.
By 1939 he had retired and Alfred and Esther were living at 254 Mill Road. He died there in 1947 aged 81 years old.
Esther Eliza Gilbert (27 November 1869 – 16 November 1963)
Esther was born in Beccles, Suffolk and was the daughter of Charles and Harriett Brady. Charles Brady worked as a bricklayer, and she was the sixth of the eight Brady children. She was living in Beccles aged 1 (1871) and aged 11 (1881).
She married Alfred Gilbert when she was 20 years old in 1890. She was widowed when she was 77 years old, and died in Cambridge aged 93 years old,
