Emily Jessie Gray (nee Harradine) (1866 – 10 May 1921)

Emily was born and raised in Oakington, Cambridgeshire and appears to have been known as Jessie through her life.  She was the daughter of market gardener Joshua Harradine and his wife Rebecca.  She married Harry Nathan Gray (1868-1950) in 1890 when she was 24 years old.

Harry and Jessie had three children: Hetty May (1891-1953), Mabel Rebecca (1895-1967) and Leonard Harradine (1899-1962).  The couple lived at Catharine Street (1894) and later at 45 Hemingford Road (at least 1900 onwards).  Harry worked as a railway shunter (1901) and then as a goods guard (1911).

Jessie died aged 55 years old.   Harry continued to live at 45 Hemingford Road, and married again in 1929 to Annie Louisa Wilkins (nee Thrower). He died in 1950.
